How I can help you with your website...

I understand how to present and market a business or informational website.  The complexity can sometimes be overwhelming.  Have you read Guerrilla Marketing" by Jay Conrad Levinson?  Great book, I highly recommend it.

The task of marketing, by itself, can be daunting.  I'll start by making sure we hit the main points, then create a beautiful, fast-loading website.

I'll make a logo...

If you don't currently have a logo, I can help you right away. I have worked in graphics and the design of logos for over 30 years and am fully equipped with software to make the task fun and efficient.

We'll get photographs

If you don't have photographs, I can shoot original photographs.  Or if that's not in the budget, I can find appropriate photographs on stock photo sites for a nominal fee.

Typography is a perennial interest

For me, this goes beyond passion.  I have been a student of typography for over 30 years.  I am touchy about kerning and find it endlessly fascinating how letterforms can come together to communicate - LOGOs, for example.

Writing

Every web page needs written copy.  While I do not consider myself a writer, if what you find on these pages is acceptable, I can include writing in my estimate.

And then there's testing.

Testing every page of every website I work on to make sure it passes W3C compliance is important.  This goes a long way to ensuring that the site works on current and future platforms and browsers.  And I also apply my accessibility tests - the inclusion of alt tags, long descriptions, text contrast, colour etc.

I also have methods for actual testing on other browsers.  PC or MAC.  Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome, etc.

Domain Name registration and ISP.

I can also register a domain name if you don't have one and for a monthly maintenance fee, get you an ISP and keep your site current.

Let's not forget  “pleasant .

As I said on the home page, my general motto in working for people is "Do what you say you're going to"... and making it a pleasant experience for everyone involved.  That pretty much covers it.
